Things that are too hard: This

I know i bought my own ticket, but i'm pretty tired of almost shattering my teeth on frozen raisins, waking up to frozen contact lenses, and being blown over by gale force winds.. Alas I've finally made it lower, and everyday below 3000m feels like it's my birthday. Seeing stars while pedaling up hill: not cool.
4700m pass
About to drop from 4900 to 2800m over 40km - awesome. -10° -> 15°c
The tibetan ice plain - (wolves will follow you here) I didn't want to stop pedaling, but they seemed mostly harmless.. definitely nothing compared to the wild dog chases.
God bless this man, saw me struggling and pulled me up the last incline when it was too steep and sandy to have any traction at all.. turns out these roads weren't made with bicycles in mind. They actually don't pave anything up here because of the ice.
Do you see that downhill stretch ?
Invited to spend the night and dine with a fine tibetan family after they saw me biking on the road while walking along with some firewood.
I actually donated some tofu from my bag for dinner, though they were pretty content with plain rice..
Yep, walls made out of mud and newspaper, ready for the next earthquake.
Typical tibetan breakfast fare of tsampa and yak butter tea.
cute lil sister
Goodbyes, we exchanged emails: dude@beside_yak.com

These kids should be sponsored by kleenex, i gave them all awesome lollypops that turn into whistles and in exchange one of them stole my bicycle tool. Awwwwwsome....
I guess he tried to light a cigarette a little to close to his face
Tibetans in litang making the daily pilgrimage on up and down on their knees to the monastery at the top of the mountain.
Yep you guessed it, this kid deserves to go to jail for wearing a pendant with a picture of the Dalai Lama.. you actually go to jail for this here.
awesome lil monks that found me wandering and were super excited to give me a tour.. though it was more of a wander since i didn't understand a thing they said
You think you like instant noodles ? wait till you meet this pig.
Definitely way bigger chances of hitting a yak out here than a car.. that said there are definite advantages to going through a windshield as opposed to a horn.

Shael,

I work for your Dad and I live in Brazil. Knowing your father, I see where you get your wanderlust and sense of adventure. No advertising for Gensco?
Good luck on your journey.
